Biography

Sue joined Macquarie University in 2021 as a Research Officer at the ALERT Research Centre, bringing over 25 years of expertise as a health care professional. With a background in both public and private settings, Sue has extensive experience as a pharmacist and in clinical drug trial research and training.

At the ALERT Research Centre, Sue plays a pivotal role in lymphoedema and lipedema research. She works closely with the ALERT Lymphoedema Clinic, where she is involved in patient recruitment.  She is involved in data entry, management, and reporting, contributing to the growth and maintenance of the Centre's extensive research databank using REDCap.

Sue's specific areas of interest lie in lymphoedema patient care, particularly surgical options and innovations aimed at addressing swelling conditions of the limbs and body. She is also an accredited lymphoedema therapist, further enhancing her ability to support and advance research in this critical field.
