Biography

Susan has worked in Pathology since 1988. Her training and experience has made her an all-rounder in Microbiology, Haematology, Blood bank, and Histology. In 2006 she ventured into the developing discipline of Bio-banking, helping set up and run a Collection Centre of the Breast Cancer Tissue Bank at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

She completed her Master of Science degree with honours in 2013, with a special interest in improving data collection in Biobanking.

Susan is currently Biobank Coordinator at the Neurodegenarative Disease Biobank at Macquarie University. Her role involves recruiting sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease and their family to the biobank. She also liaises collections for the Brain Donor Program with Sydney Brain Banks.
