Biography

Tori is a PhD candidate at Macquarie University, is the Executive Officer of the NSW Adaptation Research Hub’s Biodiversity Node and is also a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas. Her research interests include evaluating the effectiveness of protected areas for conserving nature, integrating climate change into conservation planning and exploring opportunities for policy initiatives to promote reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+). Tori completed her MPhil at James Cook University in 2017 investigating cost-effective opportunities for minimising emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in Southeast Asia. She has a background in conservation science and economics.
