Biography
Vu Phuong Uyen Ho is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate at Macquarie Business School. Her research interests lie in consumer behaviour, shaped by years of experience in both academia and industry.
She graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) with a Bachelor of Professional Communication. Following her academic aspirations, she pursued a double Master’s degree in Marketing and International Business at Macquarie University. Vu discovered her passion for research and, in 2025, completed a Master by Research (Marketing) at Macquarie University with High Distinction. During this time, she successfully published her first article on femvertising in the Journal of Business Research.
Driven by a strong commitment to academic research, Vu commenced her Doctor of Philosophy (Marketing) at Macquarie University in 2026, supported by a full International Macquarie Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES).
Before entering academia, Vu gained extensive industry experience in both Vietnam and Australia. She worked as an Account Executive at the global agency Ogilvy, a Growth Executive at MoMo e-wallet, and a Marketing Administrator at the NGO Communiteer. In these roles, she led a range of advertising and marketing campaigns for major clients across diverse industries, including FMCG, financial technology, and F&B.
Vu was also awarded Gold Winner in the Digital category at the Vietnam Young Lions Competition 2021, a prestigious global contest for marketing and advertising professionals aged 30 or under, held annually in association with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
