Biography
I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Natural Sciences at Macquarie University. My research interests
include: Discovery of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs or exosomes) cancer biomarkers for early cancer detecion; Development of point-of-care techniques for detecting cancer biomarkers on sEVs to enable early cancer diagnosis; Designing novel delivery strategies based on cancer-derived sEVs for targeted gene therapy of cancers.
In my research career, I have developed the surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)-based techniques for highly sensitive detection of cancer biomarkers on sEVs for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and breast cancer. I also developed a novel delivery strategy by engineering hybrid particles using liposomes and cancer-derived sEVs for targeted treatment of breast cancer. These research results have led to 3 research articles and 2 reviews in top-tier journals such as ACS Sensors, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and Journal of Nanobiotechnology. Additionally, I worked in Shanghai Aucta pharmaceuticals Co., LTD and US Aucta pharmaceuticals Co., LTD on pharmacuutical research for 3 years, before I started the PhD study at Macquarie University.
