Biography
Dr Yipeng Zhou is a senior lecturer in the School of Computing at Macquarie University (MQ). Prior to joining MQ, he was a research fellow at the University of South Australia and a lecturer at Shenzhen University. He earned his PhD and MPhil degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and his BS degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. Dr Zhou was awarded the 2023 Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor's Research Excellence Award and the 2023 IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society Best Editor Award. He was also the recipient of the 2018 Australia Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award. Currently, he serves as the secretary of the Centre for Frontier AI Research (FAIR) at MQ and as an associate editor for Springer Nature Scientific Reports. His research interests include federated learning, data privacy preservation, and medical data analysis. Dr. Zhou has published over 130 papers in leading venues, including ICML, INFOCOM, IJCAI, AAAI, TheWebConf, ICNP, ToN, TDSC, JSAC, TPDS, and TMC.
