Biography
PhD (Materials Engineering, UNSW 2023) and currently Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering (Macquarie University), specialising in advanced functional materials and mechanically/light-driven energy conversion. My research integrates materials design and renewable energy applications, including tidal-driven hydrogen production from seawater splitting, and plastic-to-SAF upcycling, with two PCT patents and 25+ papers in high-impact journals (e.g. Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, Nano Energy). I have taught and built units in Advanced Engineering Materials, supervised HDR students, and collaborated with industry (Trailblazer, NSW P2X). I am developing a coherent, fundable program in smart materials, multifunctional structures, and circular energy technologies that aligns with the School’s strengths in Materials & Structures and Sustainable Engineering.
