In my research pursuits, a significant focus has been dedicated to the advancement of water treatment technologies, particularly in the realm of biological wastewater treatment. I've explored the efficacy of diverse biological treatment methods, including harnessing the potential of microalgae, activated sludge, and biofilm. Another notable facet of my research revolves around the application of membrane filtration and electrochemical oxidation techniques for environmental remediation.

A parallel theme in my research endeavours has been the comprehensive analysis of emerging contaminants, emphasising the importance of understanding and mitigating their environmental impact. My recent research has been focused on the used of advanced Raman imaging to unravel the complexities associated with the characterisation of microplastics and nanoplastics.
