This award recognises the creation and application of research outcomes, the discovery of new knowledge or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way to generate new concepts, methodologies and understanding. This award acknowledged my academic contribution in the area of workplace aging including: 1) extensions to a major person-environment fit theory that even the original author believes will make a significant advance; 2) longitudinal studies in an area that has had none to date; and 3) two validated scales, one assessing perceived age discrimination and the other work styles.
