The Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Academic Excellence at Macquarie University is an internal award recognizing outstanding academic achievements in PhD theses. It's awarded to PhD graduates whose theses are nominated by all examiners as being in the top 5% (or equivalent) of research at that degree level.
