The aim of this project is to develop a new bio-imaging platform integrating light-sheet microscopy with time-gated detection, to achieve simultaneous imaging of multiple target analytes deep into living tissue. This will provide unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution in 3-dimensions (3D) for studying microstructures and molecular pathways in vivo. The platform will be used to address key challenges in understanding of inter-and intracellular interactions in cellular arrays and biological tissues, with the ultimate goal of enhanced biomedical diagnostics.This project will generate 3~5 publication papers in the top SCI journals, plus IP and related prototype instruments of substantial commercial potential.
