Description
A case study examining the way that Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) was employed in two history classes for the teaching and learning of online source evaluation.
Key findings
- Students and teachers enthusiastically integrated BYOD into history lessons, but were, perhaps, not fully cognisant of the way that BYOD was influencing classroom practice and student habits.
- Students tended to evaluate historical websites superficially. The presence of BYOD seemed to push students to work more quickly, prioritising a quick answer over a deeply thought out one.
