Description
The design for the ASPEC spectrograph will be based closely on the design for the TAIPAN spectrograph. The preliminary requirements are provided in Table 1 derived from the TAIPAN configuration (i.e., specific for fibre diameter, focal ratio, and number of fibres). Deviation of these numbers for ASPEC will likely result in a modification to the expected performance and technical requirements.
