Project Details

Description

The research grant developed Energy Efficiency Training Materials for the Office of Environment and Heritage in NSW (Category 2 funding). The courses were developed and offered face to face and online to accountants and managers through CPA Australia (membership of 130,000) as part of their continuing professional development (CPD) program. This was the first course of its kind in Australia. This was a multi-disciplinary team including, CPA Australia (professional accounting body), a current partner of KPMG (professional services firm), a lawyer (legal expert), a sustainability consultant (sustainability expert), and academics, all of whom had sustainability experience in their particular field. The Climate Change & Sustainability Services section of KPMG were contracted to develop some of the materials for the courses, and the courses were delivered by representatives from Energetics P/L, a specialist management consultancy with experience in carbon and energy management. Video case studies on energy efficiency were developed for three industrial organisations located within Sydney, namely Pfizer Inc (Pharmaceutical), AB Mauri Australia (Food Ingredients), and the Bright Print Group (Printing).
