Description

2021 Chronic Musculoskeletal Conditions in Children and Adolescents

Kneecap pain in adolescents is common, debilitating, and persistent, and can have serious long-term consequences, but there is uncertainty about which treatments are best due to a lack of evidence. The ACTIVE KNEECAPs! clinical trial will investigate whether shoe inserts or targeted physiotherapy can more effectively reduce kneecap pain in adolescents, compared to advice and education, and determine which treatment is more cost-effective over 1 year.
