Advancing Electronics and Biosensor Fabrication using Cutting-Edge Inkjet Printing.

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Inkjet printing is a digital and non-contact printing technique that is revolutionizing the fabrication of diverse electronic such as, biosensors, electrochemical sensors, and microfluidic devices. A major gap in manufacturing these devices is the technical challenge of interfacing flexible and thin biocompatible substrates with the delicate conductive sensing elements. The Inkjet printing technology acquired through this MQRIS small scheme, will set the scene for a prolific phase of research, with improvements in throughput, cost, precision, and flexibility in the design and fabrication of electronics and biosensors to be used across faculty, spanning medicine, health, and commercialization.
