Project Details

Description

Cancer represents one of the most serious diseases in Australia and worldwide. A rapid, accurate, and highly sensitive tool for cancer monitoring is critical but is limited by current technologies. This project aims to address this issue by developing an integrated platform for isolation, detection and characterisation of circulating tumor cells. It will introduce a new-type portable, low-cost, and point-of-care analytical tool with significant commercial potential. Moreover, it will provide valuable information regarding cancer progression or recurrence, enabling effective management of patients with cancer. It is also expected to reduce burdens of patients and their families, and to improve public health and quality of life.
