    Description

We know how the Earth works, but not how it was made. the ARC Centre of Excellence for Solar System Origins will be a multidisciplinary team that brings together top Australian scientists with NASA colleagues to answer a fundamental question: how did dust and gas come together to produce a planet capable of supporting life? We will build a unifying theory in a fields that does not have one. To achieve it we will develop advanced sample analysis techniques, space mission concepts, and a global facility to track meteorites entering our atmosphere. We will project Australia into a leadership position in a field that has a long history of inspiring the next generation of young researchers, and that drives innovation in high technology.
