Description
Associate Professor Hiroo Suami (of Macquarie University) will act in a consultancy role to the Client who has entered into a long-term agreement with Fibralign to distribute BioBridge Collagen Matrix in Japan.
BioBridge Collagen Matrix has already secured clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in surgery to boost and repair lymphatic vessels where weakness and deficiencies exist in lymphoedema – however, the Client plans to conduct animal experiments and collect essential data to attain approval from the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) for this product.
The animal experiments (which form part of this approval criteria) will be performed by Dr. Akira Shinaoka and will be supported by Prof. Yoshihiro Kimata M.D., Ph.D. at Okayama University (Japan) however the Client requires Associate Professor Suami’s expertise in this field to guide them.
Associate Professor Suami will also be presenting outcomes of the animal experiments at scientific meetings and submitting a journal article.
