Description
Macquarie University shall perform manual curation of multiple databases within the BioCyc collection of genome databases, including literature-based curation of gene functions and metabolic pathways in these databases. Curation shall be performed using the Pathway Tools software based on the guidelines in the document “Curator Guide for Pathway/Genome Databases using the Pathway Tools Software.” Prioritization of which databases to curate and of which genes and pathways to curate within a database will be decided mutually by SRI and by Macquarie. Macquarie staff will be responsible for training new Macquarie curators, and for performing quality assurance of Macquarie curation, with oversight in both areas by SRI.
Macquarie shall perform outreach for BioCyc at one or more scientific conferences per year, presenting talks and/or tutorials and/or posters, subject to written approval by SRI.
