CONTEXT: NASA Frontier Development Lab (FDL) is a research accelerator program that applies AI technologies to space science. Hosted by the SETI Institute, FDL runs an eight-week intensive research sprint bringing together industry partners with academics to solve some of the biggest challenges facing humanity.

ACTIVITY: The director of FDL wants to meet with Spitler and Purcell in New Zealand on September 26th to discuss plans to involve Macquarie University and Australian industry partners in the next FDL sprint, in 2020. This is the first step leading to a Macquarie-led full chapter of FDL withing three years.
