Project: Research

Project Details

This project examines the enablers to building a transdisciplinary collective of health researchers capable of producing the knowledges and strategies required to advancing Indigenous health outcomes. Through this work, the categories of health research and health researchers will be widened, thus also broadening the possibilities for current Indigenous health research investments which tend to emphasis an individualised deficit/capacity building approach. In foregrounding Indigenous intellectual capabilities, a more sustainable, relational and ethical approach to advancing new knowledge, advancing research careers and advancing health outcomes for Indigenous peoples will emerge; one which offers benefits both locally and globally.
