Colorectal cancer glycobiology: Unexpected players in epithelial-mesenchymal transition and inflammation

This project aims to establish, for the first time, the association and functional role(s) of a novel class of immune- and cancer-centric glycoproteins, the paucimannosidic proteins (PMPs), and the associated glycosylation enzymes, in inflammatory and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) processes driving colorectal cancer progression.
