Description
We compare the transcriptome of 4 Symbiodiniaceae strains that have been heat-evolved with experimental evolution (assisted evolution). The microalgae are symbionts of corals and play a crucial role in the coral thermal tolerance. We aim to identify adaptations, novel transcripts and splicing variants from the comparative transcriptome analysis that support an enhanced heat stress resistance.
