The physical hub of a multidisciplinary translational centre where neurosurgeons will be joined by other specialists from different disciplines, including computer scientists, engineers and mathematicians, with the final aim to overcome clinical problems (e.g., limiting the errors in differential diagnosis) by utilising real clinical data and translating it into clinical applications.
The computational lab will be dedicated to the use of computational modelling and artificial intelligence to characterise "fingerprints" of brain tumours and other brain diseases that will be used to develop automated diagnosis in neuroimaging and neuropathology.
