Description
Innovator Grant
This project aims to identify and test new “cryptic peptides” – small protein fragments that appear when normal cell processes go wrong in MND. We believe these molecules could act as biomarkers to help doctors diagnose the disease sooner and track how it changes over time. Using advanced RNA and protein analysis, combined with bioinformatic tools, we will build a library of these cryptic peptides and test their usefulness and utility as a surrogate marker. The outcomes will provide new knowledge, resources for researchers worldwide, and practical tools that may improve diagnosis and monitoring for MND patients.
