Description
MAAS Research Fellowship, commencing November 2020:
This project will devise an innovative approach to the MAAS collection and dance archive, to invigorate the past in the present and the present for the future, in mediums that include not only traditional archival objects and formats. The dancing body will be engaged to enliven, exhibit and present the archive in performance, where the dancer as archivist will develop contemporary performances that engage with archival resources and research. The research aims to promote discussion around how we inherit dance, and how we can approach the legacy of dance, in order to activate the archive for dance.
