Description
The pathophysiology of tinnitus is unclear, however research literature suggests that tinnitus is associated with several modifiable risk factors such as hearing loss, workplace or environmental/recreational noise exposure, smoking and diet. Australian population-based data provides a unique opportunity to make significant contributions to the current research knowledge about tinnitus. The aims of this project are to use this data to identify significant tinnitus risk factors and establish a risk model to estimate an individual’s level of tinnitus risk.
