Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Macquarie University station is a major commuter hub for MQ, Macquarie Park business district and surrounding residents. Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) will soon operate Sydney’s first driverless metro within this rapidly growing precinct. This EPS will establish a partnership between MTS and MQ and develop a longitudinal and interdisciplinary research, teaching and engagement program. This novel approach involving academics, professional staff and students will provide impactful, industry relevant and community connected approaches to transform metropolitan transport infrastructure and delivery. The project will deliver a new sustainability reporting framework and engage with commuters to improve their metro-experience including new models of digital messaging and integrated placemaking design(*).
