Project Details
Description
This project aims at developing a novel portable wireless multi-sensor array for monitoring water quality. Traditional water quality monitoring required analysis of the collected sample in a lab which was time-consuming and cumbersome and would not allow for online real-time monitoring. In this project we will develop solid contact sensors to measure the concentration of desired ions.
Solid-contact ion-selective sensors are easily miniaturized and are useful in designing portable ion sensors. We use Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) to increase the stability of the sensors’ output and provide long-term ion monitoring feature.
