Description
A new and exciting phenomenon has emerged that is increasingly referred to as digital nomadism. Digital nomads, including many Australians, use IT platforms to work remotely over the Internet while perpetually travelling. Grounded in the findings from ethnographic research, the study aims to develop new knowledge through answering three research questions: How does IT transform work and enable digital nomadism? What are the motivations and values of workers and their clients/organizations engaged in digital nomadism? What are the implications and consequences of digital nomadism for workers and clients/organizations? Answering these questions is fundamental to scholarly understanding as well as for practitioners and policy makers.
