This research addresses long-standing concerns about the quality of education and care for children under 36 months of age. It will extend groundbreaking pilot work to evaluate the reliability and psychometric validity of ORICL as a tool for educators to record, reflect on, and plan quality learning experiences for infants and toddlers attending centre-based long day care and home-based family day care services. Through a collaborative partnership with early childhood education and care (ECEC) stakeholders and service provider organisations, it will evaluate the social validity and effectiveness of ORICL to stimulate change and improvement in pedagogical practice.
