Description
Total knee replacement (TKR) is a cost-effective treatment for people with end-stage knee osteoarthritis. Customisation of TKR care based on patient preferences may increase value, and patient centeredness is acknowledged as a central tenet of health care reform. This project aims to use the discrete choice experiment approach to elicit patient preferences for the factors associated with the care pathway for TKR surgery in Australia. The expected outcomes include the factors most important to Australian patients, their preferences and willingness to pay for each factor, and how patients’ individual characteristics are associated with their preferences and willingness to pay.
