Flexible regression modelling: consolidation of frequentist and Bayesian approaches, with applications in biostatistics

I will collaborate with co-authors at Göttingen University on a text for the consolidation of approaches to flexible regression modelling (Generalized Additive Models for Location, Scale and Shape (GAMLSS)). I have previously co-authored a book which is an introduction to GAMLSS and uses the frequentist approach to parameter estimation. An alternative approach to GAMLSS estimation is Bayesian. We intend co-authoring a book which gives an exposition and unification of the two approaches. I will also visit the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney, collaborating on methodological innovations in flexible regression methodology as applied to the analysis of clinical trials.
