Form, Feel & Freedom: The unaccompanied saxophone solo in improvised contexts

This research project aims to generate a range of original creative works, each of which will present the solo (unaccompanied) saxophone in a range of musical contexts. The project seeks to understand to what extent does pre-existing musical material (or the absence of this) have on the resulting improvisations.
