Harmonic analysis lies at the intersection of the frontiers of many branches of mathematics. In particular, it has had a profound influence on the fields of several complex variables and partial differential equations. This proposal aims to study a number of significant open problems at the frontier of harmonic analysis which have close links with complex analysis and related partial differential equations. Expected outcomes are the solutions to a number of important problems as well as development of new instrumental techniques and new future research directions in the field. This project will enhance the high profile of Australian research in mathematics and contribute to the training of future generations of mathematicians for Australia.
