High Resolution Mass Spectrometry for Identification and characterisation of Proteins

We will acquire a high resolution mass spectrometer which will provide much needed additional instrument capacity. We currently have access to high resolution instrumentation through a central analytical facility, but there is a very high demand for this service leading to frequent wait times of several months. We will purchase a refurbished instrument, which is much more affordable than newer models, and install it in an existing instrumentation room which has the necessary connections and infrastructure. This instrument will be used for early-stage proof of concept and method development work which we currently do not have sufficient capacity to accommodate.
