Increasing coral adaptation to heat stress through genetic engineering of their symbiotic microalgae

We cultivate symbiotic microalgae (Symbiodiniaceae) at Macquarie University to start genetic engineering trials to enhance their thermal tolerance and coral bleaching thresholds.
