This project aims to develop an integrated device for simultaneous analysis of molecular signatures of cells and their derived extracellular vesicles. This device will be developed by combination of microfluidic separation section with two parallel analysis chambers by using plasmonic nanoprobes. This single device can be used for analysis of different surface biomarkers of cells and their extracellular vesicles in one experiment to reveal the correlation between them. which is necessary for the cancer detection/treatment. This project provides technological solution in area of cell biology and creates collaboration across institutions and Australian industry as well as intellectual property in manufacturing.
