Project Details
Description
In the FLinKUS project, empirical school and classroom research with a focus on and in the context of the German school system abroad is integrated into the training of student teachers of the subject DaF/DaZ. The focus is on the development of an extracurricular seminar, which is offered within the framework of the nationally unique module "Concepts of School and Quality Development in the German School System Abroad". In this context, concrete questions on the development needs and goals of several partner schools are taken up, in order to open up new spaces for action in a concrete teaching context together with the teachers on site, and thus to identify development potentials for the entire school. The focus of these "collaborative school development" projects is on the areas of language-sensitive design of subject lessons (CLIL) and its evaluation, as well as competence-oriented teaching and testing. Due to these topics, which are also relevant for Thuringian schools, a transfer of the results resulting from the project beyond the project duration is being considered. The integration of research-based learning into the seminar aims at the professionalization of the students by training them in reflexive as well as intercultural and didactic competencies, which are urgently needed both at a German school in Germany and at a school offering German language courses abroad. Accompanying research on the project should illuminate its transfer potential and prepare the integration of similar projects into the university teacher training of other subject didactics.
