Modern Technologies and Human Rights Inquiry in Mongolia

This project supports the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia (NHRCM) in undertaking a comprehensive national inquiry into Mongolia’s e-governance policy and its practical implementation, with a focus on the inclusion of measures designed to protect human rights and personal data. Specifically, the project provides advice and research support in relation to the inquiry’s component on civil registration and digital identification. Activities have included lectures to NHRCM staff at Macquarie University in September 2023 and a research mission to Mongolia in October 2024.
