Description

This project, aligned with ASCA's focus on Synthetic Media/Disinformation, is designed to bolster Australia's defences against complex Information Operations (IO). It involves creating advanced tools for detecting IO activities, assessing their effects, and developing effective countermeasures. Geographically, the project targets critical regions like the Solomon Islands, PNG, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Taiwan, the South China Sea and the archipelagic S.E. Asia. The project leverages the expertise of our multidisciplinary team, currently delivering a Defence Innovation Network-sponsored project countering the PRC's IO in the Solomon Islands and Melanesia. Central to our approach is the development of software prototypes, fully compatible with Defence's Resilient Decision Highway (RDH) framework, significantly enhancing Australia's ability to counter emerging information warfare challenges in these key areas.
