Project Details
Description
This collaboration between Macquarie University and Tilburg University aims to explore players’ experience and behaviour when playing video games that include ethical and moral decision making. Using the game The Great Fire developed at Macquarie University, the project team plan to run a joint investigation using biometrics (including eye-tracking and skin conductance) to quantify players’ decision-making processes and to measure the effect of various design interventions on these processes. This will involve collaborating in making changes to a shared repository of the game source code, conducting experiments at both institutions, and sharing the outcomes, with an aim for joint publication of the results.
