MQ SAFETY NET: Retinoid X receptors and Rexinoids: Harnessing their Neuroprotective effects in the Glaucoma

This proposal aims to understand the role of retinoid X receptors in the retina in health and disease conditions. A combination of cellular, molecular biology techniques along with transgenic animal models will be used to understand the mechanisms of Retinoid X receptor actions in the retina and modulate retinoid X receptor expression for future therapeutic purposes.
