NUTRIBOOST: New biotechnological tools for next-generation nutritionally biofortified crops to fight hidden hunger

This project aims to develop broadly applicable biotechnological approaches to enable a new generation of food crops with improved nutritional quality to fight hidden hunger (i.e., micronutrient malnutrition). The project will build on our work on exciting novel technologies for nutritional biofortification with health-promoting carotenoids (including pro-vitamin A) and will provide advances extendable to potentially any nutrient and crop of interest.
