Description
The Observing, Reflecting, and Improving Children’s Learning (ORICL) tool addresses long-standing concerns about the quality of education and care for children birth to two-years. Despite overwhelming evidence that the first 1000 days of life is a critical period for children’s learning, development and well-being, infant-toddler educators only require Certificate-level qualifications and resources to support their capacity to provide quality experiences and interactions for children are limited. This research extends groundbreaking pilot work to evaluate the social validity and effectiveness of ORICL to enhance educator practice and through this, benefit children, families, and providers of early childhood education and care services.
