Australia’s multibillion-dollar merchant markets are vulnerable to an increasing amount of spam reviews. This project aims to develop a collective spam review identification prototype model for labelling possible spam reviews based on review contents, product profiles, product information network and social networks. This research will lay a solid foundation for reshaping the existing way for spam review identification/filtering and ultimate benefit merchants and consumers. The outcomes include: gaining the capability of identifying online spam reviews, developing theoretical models for spam review detection and algorithms for preparing the further ARC Linkage Project 2020.
