Project Details
Description
First, this study will investigate the short- and long-term impact (between 1 and 20 years) of a (very) high-predicted breast cancer risk on
risk-management, need for information, and psychosocial impact in the various stages in life. Second, reliable information- and decision support
tools will be developed to inform these women about the pros and cons of their options to support them in their decision making.
Web-based psycho-educational interventions to motivate risk-management and facilitate decision making can meet this need for support.
Third, a support tool for clinicians to discuss risk factors and risk-management including lifestyle and hormonal factors, will be developed
to improve shared decision making.
