Description
Review of interventions designed to optimise hospital medication alerts, post-implementation
Key findings
Post-implementation optimisation of medication alerts can be beneficial to clinicians when applied in a variety of settings and can be effective in combating alert fatigue. Less well reported are interventional impacts on the clinical care of patients, and how endpoints such as alert quantity contribute to changes in alert fatigue for clinicians and pharmacists.
