Description
This is an application for funding a collaborative research project in science education to be conducted jointly by the University of Hamburg (UH) and Macquarie University (MQ) in Sydney, Australia. The collaborative project aims, first, to develop video clips of classroom practices for teaching specific science topics, and then to investigate the effectiveness of the videos in developing pre-service teachers’ ability to observe students’ learning difficulties and concept development. The videos developed in MQ will demonstrate teaching practices in the STEAM approach, that is, an approach integrating the arts in the teaching/learning of STEM subjects.
